Why Arcadia?

Arcadia is a mythical place, a symbol of perfection and harmony with nature. When we were seeking to rename ourselves, we looked for a name that would do several things:

1. Capture the essence of what it is we do.

2. Be esthetically pleasing.

3. Provide continuity in a way that honors our past.

Since we strive to create beauty in the world of sound, having a name associated with natural beauty (and harmony!) creates some wonderful resonances. The name “Arcadia” is certainly an attractive one, and “Arcadia Chorale” has a pleasing cadence to it. Continuity comes from retaining “Chorale,” though there is a subtler connection as well, as our previous initials – RDC – are contained within “Arcadia.”
