Arcadia Chorale announces 2022–2023 Concert Season

Welcome back!

We invite you to explore our season brochure below to see the variety of concerts we've planned, from our traditional Messiah Sing-along and Bach Festival to special projects in the community.

We can't wait to sing for you!

from our Music Director

Dear Friends of Choral Music ~

Even during a pandemic, Arcadia Chorale continues to thrive! Ongoing guidance from our Health and Wellness Committee allowed a safe return to in-person concerts last fall and has helped us plan another great slate of events. I’m excited to announce our 2022-2023 concert season!

Our October concert celebrates the beautiful NEPA environment with music and texts that focus on nature. In December, we present A Koliada Christmas from Eastern Europe, as well as our annual Messiah Sing-Along concert – bring your score and join in on Handel’s choruses!

Our March NEPA Bach Festival will feature the Chorale and the Arcadia Festival Orchestra performing choral and chamber music by masters such as Bach, Mozart, and Bruckner. We welcome Christopher Johnson, Director of Music at Covenant Presbyterian Church, as our guest performer at the Organ Concert.

We’re honored to be collaborating with the Friedman Jewish Community Center of Wilkes-Barre for an April concert, when the Chorale will perform Donald McCullough’s Holocaust Cantata in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day. This deeply moving and provocative piece is sure to be a special performance.

As always, we’re thrilled to be joined by the Doug Smith Jazz Trio for our season-ending Pops Concert. This year’s theme, Opposites Attract, offers a twist on favorite standards: songs typically sung by females will be sung by males and vice versa!

And join us in June, when we host our second Summer Sing. We invite you to be part of this mini-festival, either as a participant or an audience member! Find out more about Summer Sing and all of our season events on our website: arcadiachorale.org.

Whether it’s attending a concert, participating in a fundraiser, contributing as a donor, ushering, or singing with the Summer Sing chorus, we’re better because of your connection to us. Thank you for your continued support! And here’s to an exciting season with the Arcadia Chorale!
